Led by legacy, shaped by values.
At O’Brien Brothers, we are guided by the operating principles that were handed down to us from our two founders who began the O’Brien Brothers journey: Leo O’Brien Jr. and Daniel J. O’Brien.
The brothers share a core belief in creating lasting value while doing right by others. They have instilled in the company an ethic of long-term vision and sustainability over short term gain and disposability. As third-generation natives of South Burlington, Leo Jr. and Dan grew up during a time of perseverance and self-sufficiency, working the land alongside their father while learning the value of hard work.
Responding to the needs of a changing Vermont, the brothers founded O’Brien Brothers, and shepherded its evolution into a premier provider of residential and commercial properties over a six-decade trajectory. Along with building a successful business, they also grew deep roots in the community and state. Each devoted time to public service as Vermont statesmen, a testament to their shared commitment to the landscape and people of Vermont.
