Maureen is the eldest of the second generation of O’Briens, and a life-long resident of South Burlington. She is an original member of the Board of Directors and a former member of the South Burlington Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Adjustment.
Maureen worked for the Federal Government for over 30 years, retiring from the U.S. Probation Office in 2015. She was the Administrative Manager for the District of Vermont, and a financial trainer and mentor specializing in Financial Management, Procurement, and Internal Controls to other U.S. Courts around the country.
Maureen enjoys spending time with her husband, John Barrows, her two children, and five grandchildren. She also serves as the family genealogist, and enjoys volunteering with the Vermont Genealogy Library.
