South Burlington, VT – O’Brien Brothers is pleased to announce the addition of Damien Chaviano to our board of directors in 2019. With his extensive real estate experience Damien is a strong addition to the board.
As Principal at MARK Development, Damien lends his talents to all aspects of the real estate development process, from project permitting, to financing to marketing. He is involved in a wide range of projects, from single-use buildings to large-scale projects in urban and suburban communities. Damien also has considerable experience sourcing capital and managing investments for projects. Since joining MARK Development, he has helped source 2.0+ million square feet of development, with an estimated total cost of $1.0 billion.
Outside of work Damien is involved with several non-profits. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Urban Mixed-use Product Council. He serves on the board of Milagros para Ninos at Boston Children’s Hospital, a program dedicated to improving “the health and well-being of children in New England and around the world.” Damien also volunteers with College for Every Student, a non-profit striving to make college an accessible outcome for all students.
Damien received his MSRED from MIT after completing his undergraduate studies at Middlebury College.
O’Brien Brothers, a 60-year old family owned business is governed by a 7-person Board of Directors comprised of the following: Katie O’Brien (chair), Maureen O’Brien (secretary), Kerry O’Brien, Ed Biggins, Jay Fayette, Bill Norton, and Damien Chaviano. Company founders Leo O’Brien Jr. and Daniel J. O’Brien both serves as Emeritus members of the Board of Directors.
